So keep that door open and keep talking and writing! See? This one change lets your reader know that you are still there for them and encourages them to stay in communication with you. Write ‘Should you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me.’ Please keep that door of communication open. They will feel less than lovely, I assure you. What if it’s not? What if your reader still has a question? How are they going to feel, knowing that you are done with them? This tells your reader that you are pretty much done with them. But not when you’re navigating international waters. ‘I hope I have informed you enough.’ Or the more formal version, ‘I hope I have informed you sufficiently.’ Do you know what that line is? It’s this, and I see it all the time, and it’s a rough translation of the typical Dutch way of ending an email. There’s one thing you’re doing in your emails which most likely sets the wrong tone with your international clients. It’s crazy to think that people all over the world will be learning with me very soon!
